At Texas Tech University, full-time faculty positions are typically filled through a national search process. Search committees play a critical function in the university’s ability to recruit and hire outstanding faculty. The information on this page is for individuals serving on a faculty search committee in academic year 2026-2027.
Search committee members must have completed the Faculty Search Committee Workshop within the past five years. However, due to major revisions to faculty search procedures in 2022-2023, anyone serving on a Faculty Search Committee this year must have attended a Faculty Search Committee Workshop in Fall 2023 or later.
The dates for the Fall 2026 Faculty Search Committee Workshop are:
- 9 a.m. to noon, Friday, Aug. 28
- 9 a.m. to noon, Wednesday, Sept. 9
- 1 to 4 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 22
- 1 to 4 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 22
- 9 a.m. to noon, Friday, Nov. 13
Each workshop will be in TLPDC 151.
